Cookie Policy
This policy explains what cookies are, how we use them at propiecu.com and how you can manage them. We comply with the Ecuadorian Organic Law on Personal Data Protection (LOPDP) and apply Google Consent Mode v2 with a ‘denied by default’ state until you authorize otherwise.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files a website saves on your device when you visit. They are used to remember preferences, keep active sessions, measure usage and, in some cases, show relevant advertising.
2. Types of cookies we use
We use essential cookies (required for the site to work), analytics cookies (to understand aggregated site usage) and advertising cookies (to measure the effectiveness of campaigns on Google Ads and other networks). Analytics and advertising categories are only activated if you explicitly accept.
3. Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Google Consent Mode v2 with ‘denied’ default values for ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage. When you choose your preferences in the banner or the settings panel, we update the state (‘granted’ or ‘denied’) via gtag(‘consent’, ‘update’, …) and publish a cookie_consent_update event in the dataLayer. No analytics or advertising cookies are activated before your authorization.
4. Duration
Essential cookies expire at the end of the session or up to 30 days depending on the type. Analytics and advertising cookies may last up to 13 months following European and local recommendations.
5. Third parties
We use third-party services such as Google Ads (AW-18064110603) and potentially Google Analytics 4. These providers process data under their own privacy policies; we recommend reviewing them before granting consent.
6. How do I change my preferences?
You can change your consent at any time: clear the site cookies or the ‘propiecu_consent_v1’ entry in your browser local storage; the banner will reappear on the next visit. You can also configure your browser to block or notify the presence of cookies.
